TRANSIT RADIO SYSTEM

Transit Radio System. The Bus Operations Control Center’s (BOCC) computerized bus communications and real-time revenue operations fleet system. This new system, successor to the existing 20 year old radio system, began to be installed into MTA buses in late 1995. The TRS has the capability of generating a multitude of fleet management and schedule data reports. A receiving device in mounted above stop signs which collects and sends transmissions.
