WEB SERVICES, Administration

Web Services are based on simple and non-proprietary standards; they are designed to make it possible for computer programs to exchange data regardless of location, operating system, or language used. Web Services are a new class of Internet-native applications that promise to simplify the sharing of data. Software written in different languages or running on different operating systems may easily communicate with one another over Web Services. Applications running in different parts of the world may readily communicate and readily exchange data using universal, non-proprietary data standards specified by Web Services.
