February 10: This Date in Los Angeles Transportation History

2005:  The Metro Headquarters lights up with a giant heart to promote the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” campaign that encourages women to take care of their hearts.

The light show is staged again in 2006 and 2009.

Several other large city entities participate with spectacular lighting displays.
