1943: Pacific Electric Railway begins operating streetcars over the Aliso Street Viaduct in downtown Los Angeles.

2006: The first cameras become operational for the Metro Orange Line in hopes of alleviating collisions with passenger vehicles.

The cameras are installed at Tujunga/Busway, Oxnard/Buffalo, and Oxnard/Woodman. More information can be found in the November 3, 2006 issue of MyMetro employee news digest.
