1901:  Pacific Electric Railway Company is incorporated.

The original line connecting Los Angeles and Pasadena in 1895 was built for the Pasadena And Los Angeles Railway Company, but the builders couldn’t raise enough cash to pay the bondholders, so the line was acquired by the investors, who in turn sold it to Henry Huntington.

1910:  Los Angeles Railway Corporation incorporated after Henry Huntington sells all of his stock in the Los Angeles Inter-Urban and the Pacific Electric Railway to Southern Pacific.
