November 18: This Date in Los Angeles Transportation History

2002: Los Angeles County’s first ever transportation summit wraps up.

Mobility 21: LA County Moving Together draws approximately 400 elected officials, business, labor, transit and community leaders to an all-day session at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

Metro Board Chair Hal Bernson declares, “Never before has L.A. County been so determined to find the most workable solutions to congestion.”

Resolutions are adopted in the areas of: Streets and Freeways; Land Use and Transportation Planning; Aviation; Freight Management; Transit; Building Effective Lobbying Coalition; How to Bring More Money to Los Angeles County.
