Databases and eBooks

Metro Library offers current employees access to several databases with professional literature in the fields of transportation, urban planning, engineering, public administration, law, among others. Databases

  • Academic Search Premier (Ebsco) Red lock icon indicating resource reserved for current Metro staff only.
    Multidisciplinary database providing full-text access to articles in the fields of social sciences, technology, transportation, arts & entertainment, urban studies & planning, among others.

  • Accel5 Digital Leadership & Management Library (Ebsco) Red lock icon indicating resource reserved for current Metro staff only.
    A continuously updated digital library of articles, books, videos on leadership and management.

  • Business Source Corporate Plus (Ebsco) Red lock icon indicating resource reserved for current Metro staff only.
    Multidisciplinary database providing full-text access to articles in the fields of business, engineering, construction & building, management, accounting, transportation, public policy & administration, law, among others.

  • Engineering Village (Elsevier) Red lock icon indicating resource reserved for current Metro staff only.
    The Engineering Village platform provides access to Compendex, a databases for interdisciplinary scholarly and technical literature. Compendex includes journals, conference proceedings, dissertations, standards, as well as content from major engineering societies like IEEE, ASME, SAE, and ACM. Some full-text and open access access links are provided.

    Engineering database providing some full-text access to articles, reference handbooks, equations/data analytics, proceedings, and some industry standards.
 

eBooks

Metro employees can access ebooks through our library catalog.

    You can also browse our ebook collection directly through the Libby app. Our ebook collection includes materials in transportation, urban planning & design, architecture, public administration and project management, GIS & data, and public speaking. The library also has a collection of study guides and testing materials to support Metro staff career advancement and certification.
