December 31: This Date in Los Angeles Transportation History

2009:  For the first time ever, Metro is able to invite the communities of East Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, and the Little Tokyo/Arts District to ride Metro Rail directly into Pasadena for the Tournament of Roses parade and Rose Bowl game, and post-parade viewing of the floats just north of Sierra Madre Villa Station.

With completion of the Metro Gold Line Eastside Extension, Metro makes it easier for parade-goers from very corner of Los Angeles County to reach New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day events.

More information is available in the December 31, 2009 issue of the MyMetro employee news digest.
