1943: Pacific Electric Railway begins operating streetcars over the Aliso Street Viaduct in downtown Los Angeles.

Ribbon cutting of the new Aliso Street viaduct with City Engineer, Lloyd Aldrich, L.A. Mayor Fletcher Bowron, Councilman J. W. Baumgartner, O. A. Smith of Pacific Electric, Chairman Herbert C. Legg, Harrison Baker of the State Highway Committee, and Supervisor John Ford.

2006: The first cameras become operational for the Metro Orange Line in hopes of alleviating collisions with passenger vehicles.

Photos of various surveillance cameras that monitored the G Line's Woodman and Oxnard intersection.

The cameras are installed at Tujunga/Busway, Oxnard/Buffalo, and Oxnard/Woodman. More information can be found in the November 3, 2006 issue of MyMetro employee news digest.
