To Our Metro Family,
This is an unusual time for us, many of whom are either working from home or are not able to visit us in person for research and other information. You may not know that the Metro Transportation Library & Archive collection is actually 125 years old, dating back to 1895 as part of Los Angeles Railway. We look forward to continuing to serve the Metro community with as little disruption as possible.
For reference assistance, we encourage our users to contact us via email rather than by phone: email@example.com.
We also want to remind our users of the many resources in our collection and elsewhere available to you online 24/7.
CURRENT NEWS & TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
To stay abreast of transit and transportation news in Southern California and beyond, we suggest you subscribe to our Los Angeles Transportation Headlines: http://headlines.metroprimaryresources.info/.
For the past 15 years, we have collected and disseminated online news, an effort which continues as a digital newspaper published every work day. For your convenience, we offer an emailed daily digest with links to the newspaper and all its news items. You can read previous issues by clicking “Archives” next to the issue date. You can find the subscription link in the upper right of each issue.
METRO LIBRARY COLLECTION ONLINE:
Our online catalog contains links to thousands of digital resources! We have worked diligently to hyperlink to full-text digital documents, everything from reports, studies, EIRs, and more: http://librarycat.metro.net/. The catalog records for any digital versions of these resources are clearly labelled with “Online Access” in the search results and “URL” in the specific record. Alternatively, you may wish to search for online digital documents in our collection directly at: http://metroprimaryresources.info/search-metro-librarys-digitized-documents/.
In turn, the catalog homepage’s left-hand column provides access to several other online resources in our collection, including:
